Day 15 of my post-op recovery from a laparotomy/abdominal myomectomy:
Another day, another shopping outing. This time my walking speed was noticeably better.
So I got curious – what’s the real reason I’ve been walking slowly? Low energy? Pain? Sheer laziness? I tried walking faster. Oh right, it hurts my abdomen. You see, walking slowly gives my feet and legs more opportunity to cushion the impact and smooth out the step. Walking faster feels like I’m bouncing in a car through potholes.
On a positive note, sometime over the past few days, the strange feeling I would get in my abdomen when peeing has mostly disappeared! I saw a comment online that the full bladder rubs up against the stitches or something. Maybe those stitches have dissolved somewhat.
